Re: Deserves a helping hand
Very sad story indeed and the problem is, not taking away from the story, that many many Thais have sad stories. With this in mind I don't see anywhere contact information to assist. Anyone have any info?

Re: Deserves a helping hand
Asian newspapers often feature stories like this because working famililies in Asia cant afford much health care isn't that one of the reason why Thaksin is so popular because he did something about it.

The link leads to a story
End in Sight For Trapped Chilean Miners October 09, 2010
I weakly remember this from the news, but can't see any connection to hip replacement and health system in Thailand (I didn't read the article).

Yep, that link goes to the chilian miners from about 2 years ago.
Guess PattayaDaily News messed it up.

That link above will always lead to the most recent post, so in a few weeks will not be able to figure out what your post is about. The link to the specific post is:

YES, forget the 70+yo lady garbage collector.
This 14 yo "Boy Hero" needs more help then the old woman.
Come On you rich gay farangs, who spend 2-3-4 if not more THOUSANDS of bahts, every afternoon/night.
Stay ONE DAY at home look bad Thai TV, and make a donation.
No, they will not, the selfish bitches.
As they think (not say) God for all, and ME only for ME
I wish I could, but I am on a budget of 35-40 thousand p/m, which means I am lucky, because many stay here 20-30 thousand p/m

Re: Deserves a helping hand
Thats ok we helped out the good elderly lady for you for some food and stuff when the artlicle broke. Sent an email to the papers and asked for her name and bank account number. If anyone else would like to help because we can not do it alone, I have her name and bank account # and would be happy to either process a donation on our Paypal system and forward it to her via bank transfer or send you her banking details.
I guess one problem is that there are so many that need help where does it end. She was good and sweet and what happened is a tragedy. I will start here and end where i have to. Come on and help me give her new hip and food and care for her family. Reach into your pockets, please.
