    Doctor Philippe

    http://www.gaybuttonthai.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5152

    This post from Gaybuttonrhai will provide some insight.

    Gaybutton, Dr Phillippe asked me to post the email on his behalf. He also asked if I could forward the Information to DaBoss on the other forum, which I have done.
    He had not seen this forum, but had seen the other. He noticed that the thread was locked and he did not know if he should open a new subject or not.
    As he is a busy man, he asked can I post on his behalf. Which I have done.
    I have taken his phone nos of my original post as I think you are correct. He did put his telephone nos down, but I took upon myself to take it off.
    He is a very busy man, if you can help then email him.(quote)Marigar

    4 million is a tall order, but maybe tell him to give crowd funding a shot. For example -- http://www.indiegogo.com/.

    Re: Doctor Philippe

    Surely PGF (which I understand substantially bankrolls the drugs bill at least), needs to get involved in this to bring clarity to the situation?

    All that is in the public domain at the moment is confusion - and very few people will donate or fundraise under those conditions.

    Other than Monty no one else seems to be asking 4 million baht except for the owner, the doctor has moved before and surely he'll do the same again.

    Re: Doctor Philippe

    Open PM from Dr Phillippe and reprinted with his permission:

    Dear deleted,

    thank you again for your concern, your help,

    following my call, our telephone conversation,
    this is to confirm that I welcome any one in the community, including Thais
    to give a special one time but direct support to me,
    as our common account with Dr. Jureerat datas given on http://www.heartt2000.org
    towards helping new issues of HIV-AIDS best prevention & best treatment with ARVs,
    also about the urgent issue of home;

    it is obvious that if dream of buying premises where I work now 6th year,
    ( all together = 14 th year in the previous home in Beach Road soi 10 ),
    is not possible, I just have to find a new rent, which I am actively searching at the same time.

    Still special " extra-ordinary " contribution I ask,
    besides sustained support of Pattaya Pride, > 10 years,
    250,000 THB / month decreased to 150,000 THB / Month,
    b/o less optimal fund-raising production.

    I always got special extra-PP-funding from some concerned persons,
    who could " make the difference ", meaning bringing needed support,
    with the patients or their friends or sponsors, if they can.

    I repeate it is impossible to give complete free treatment and investigations to all,
    but of course I use common sense every day,
    and have given free to many already, especially with sick people, social cases,
    even paying some rent when it was necessary,
    also " subsidizing " mostly :
    i.e. sharing expenses when some patients or giving them free donated ARVs :

    this is one area I can really help for the difficult cases,
    for Thais, as not all ARVs are free in NHSO & SSO national UC insurance schemes,
    also for non Thais, to bring them affordable prices of ARVs they need to take every day for their lives.

    Please tell me about any specific case to explain,
    as everything can be explained, our work is so simple, heart minded and difficult every day :
    come and sit with me 1 hour only in front of patients !...

    Another important point is early ARV Rx I offer here,
    so to significantly decrease contagiosity and new therefore new HIV infections ( " secondary " prevention )

    I am helping about 450 patients presently.

    I want also to say that I am a ( poor and tired ) volunteer Dr.,
    working for the community now 14th year in a free rent house,
    I have only one motorbike ( no car ) and spend a few tens of thousand THB / Month;
    I am clean,
    I never asked took or accepted any Dr. fee, never any 1 THB profit on any medicine,
    I never had any 1 THB on any medical expense I asked in any lab or hospital;
    ...

    Work here is difficult, but better from initial years,
    as Thais have now free Universal Care but not for all ARVs,
    and prices of most ARVs have gone down thanks to generics,
    but not all ARVs are generic cheap,
    for example Prezista* 300 mg x 120 Tablets = 12,000 THB / Month,
    ...

    I feel presently the need to share these and more important informations in the community,
    and I think of opening up a new topic on forum to speak about all these relevant important infos in our community;

    I welcome finally the present issue on forum,
    as I wanted also to present all infos later,
    also to report about hidden fight and hard difficulties of ours every day :
    especially the issue of prevention :
    I was at a meeting with Pattaya City Mayor on last Thursday AM,
    or with the new website : now working the 4th Week End with young Thai programmers from BKK
    on a new website http://www.okwecare.com focused on prevention

    Please convey also to the website Master my thanking in advance to solve all problems,
    as goals are presently so big and possible from our being together.

    Best regards
    Dr. Philippe Seur
