Don't get carried away.
In fact, RUSSIA was third (to the USA and China) in total medals with 82 total (24 gold)

I'm doing the official medal's table...not your own wishfull thinking.....the place in the table is based on the teams with the most gold medals....so GB got 3rd most gold
its sounds like the sour grapes i get off united fans when we..Man City won the premier league.. ha ha

You said before GB was third in medals. You didn't specify gold medals.
They were third in gold medals. Russia was third in total medals.
You did great but there is no need to push a distortion, OK?

i am just copying the table from The medals table that is updated every time any country wins a medal on The BBC ....i didnt make it up myself...check it yourself ...on the bbc olympic site or bbc tv...so argue with them not me
