pirated Viagra

Has anyone ever tried the "Viagra" that the night vendors "secretly" sell? The box looks the same but for the price it is a copy or fake. Just wondering if it works or just a bunch of white powder.

My initial answer is no - I wouldn't buy from night vendors - but I know that there are other products which although not branded Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) are chemically identical - e.g Kamagra (blue pills).

Kamagra is very cheap so I don't know if that is what the night vendors might be offering (if so, it's perfectly fine) - I can't imagine it would be financially worthwhile faking Kamagra - but hey, it's Thailand :dontknow: :dontknow:

There is also Cialis (Tadalafil) - it's a yellow pill rather than blue and it "works" longer than Viagra but the main drawback is that if you use Cialis with alcohol you are at significant risk of popping your clogs.

There is also Apcalis and Tadacip which are both the same as Cialis - i.e. Tadalafil

Kamagra, Cialis, and Apcalis are also available as oral jellies and there are chewable versions of Cialis (white) and possibly Tadacip. There are probably other variants that I've omitted.
All of which highlights the danger that will all the different possibilities and combinations of these products - when you buy these from night vendors you really have no idea what you're getting.

Plus as you can get just about anything you could ever want in any number of pharmacies ABOVE the counter it's madness to buy stuff like that from street traders as you KNOW it's going to be fake before you start hence why they're selling it on the street ! Is it really worth risking your life for a difference that minght amount only to 50 baht or something - no way ! - and this is from a guy who over the years has taken all sorts of stuff I shouldn't have but even I draw the line at street traders selling "god knows what" - and don't be fooled by the packaging, half times it comes out of the same factory that makes the real packaging as conerfeiting is such a big business now - no, nip into the pharmacy, pay your 100 baht for your pill and bang yourself stupid without having the worry of thinking "am I going to keel over whilst doing this as my heart is beating out of my chest with that rat poision I've just intentionally ingested" or perhaps even worse still, you pop a pill, get your guy all oiled up and NOTHING, not a hard on in sight and you just look like a right burke ! No, some things you shouldn't scrimp on and getting a good hard on is one of those things so spend your 100 baht and fuck away to your hearts content.

I totally agree with NIrish on this, why play with your healt, because you are saving 50 baht or less.

i have bought it over the counter in Pharmacies, both the original and copies from India (Kamagra?).

But I also have to say, that both Viagra and Cialis, can have strong side effects, especially if you take a to strong dose, eg 100 mg instead of 50 mg.
I would strongly recommend that you consult a doctor before even thinking about taking the medicine. It is easy if your doctor knows your healt, like blood pressure, other kinds of medicine you are taken or heart problems.

BTW you should know, that even if you can buy it over the counter in most pharmacies in Thailand, Viagra et al. is as far as I know, in fact a prescription medicine.
