I think you mean the Po Pot restaurant, Pol Pot was the leader of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.

My understanding is the name Po Pot was a typo error when the sign was made. Supposedly it was a French name such as Peu Pot, meaning Little Pot although maybe other variant? But why French if the owner is German?

Because "Kleiner Topf" doesn't sound good?
