Yeah, any guy who's done any work with youth knows this has become a major issue. You actually need to protect yourself by ensuring you're never in a position where you can be accused of anything and unfortunately, it does restrict the ability of those with pure and good intentions to help.

On one end of the scale, you're being negligent and putting kids at risk if you don't put some OH&S procedures/rules in place. On the other extreme end of the scale, some people have gotten ridiculously paranoid to the extent of it being incredibly offensive. In most cases, a happy medium will or should be found... but there are some extreme examples on both ends (the overly negligent and the overly paranoid).

Its become intolerable. This fear and paranoia that every male is a child rappist, its also sexist and discrimantory. Luckily we are spared most of Americas hysteria. Most child abuse happens right in their very home under their noses.
