The pleasures of UBC

One of the pleasures of having UBC, rather than vagaries of free-to-air satellite, is BBC Prime. This afternoon's offering was Coppelia, a story in which the Dr Coppelius figure is remiscent of Hedda, deluded and living a world totally of his own creation. I, of course, am the Duke (noblesse oblige). The male lead, a black, is apparently married. What is the world coming to? The candle dance was somewhat better than can be seen in Dream Boy, although #38 does have a lovely pair of dancer's legs. What a pity he's sticky rice

I have been denied the pleasures of UBC because Jomthien Condotel has decided that satellite dishes on the edge of balconies are too ugly and so has banned any new ones. The old ones can stay, which means that some people in the building can get UBC and others cannot. There is some talk of putting a large dish on the roof which any co-owner could then use, but what are the chances of this happening much before I leave in April?
