I'm always intrigued by the Thai habit of attaching my Immigration departure card to my boarding pass, which then gets collected by the airline staff at the gate. What do they do with it? Give it to the tourism authorities for their stats or give it back to Immigration so they can cross-check to see that I really did leave the country?
