Pattaya for the mobility impaired
Four years ago I had a stroke and now have trouble with walking and balance. I was in Bangkok three years ago and other than stairs, curbs and long distances got around adequately with just a cane. I would like to go to Pattaya but from watching videos on YouTube it seems there are far fewer taxis than Bangkok and I could never get into one of those little buses that appear to be all over. And the sidewalks appear to be in very poor repair. So where is the best venue area to park myself and what hotels would be the best considering my abilities and interest in offing legal twinks? Or just stay in Bangkok?
Re: Pattaya for the mobility impaired
Simply use Bolt Taxi. Just upload the app to your phone. Fares are very cheap to anywhere in Pattaya and easy to get a ride within minutes. Fares are about 100 Baht or less but a tip is appreciated.

To date, the Jomtien complex, in my opinion, is the best option for living on holidays. The No.1 gay spot in Pattaya, rainbow beach is within walking distance. The Venue, Agate, and Zing hotels are gay friendly and have an elevator.

What tip would you give for a 100 baht ride?
Re: Pattaya for the mobility impaired
The Bolt fares were very good in March. I could get a Bolt taxi from South Pattaya to Jomtien for 60 baht. That is the same as a motor bike taxi. No contest.
So I usually gave them 100 baht.
Obviously these fares are a loss leader so have they gone up since I left in March?

Most of the rides I get on Bolt are about 60 Baht; I give 100 Baht. On occasion a ride may be somewhat higher or delayed to traffic congestion so up to 140 Baht.

What happened to Grab? Is Grab still a thing?
Re: Pattaya for the mobility impaired
Grab is working and proved very useful in Cambodia.
However in Bangkok, fares on grab are slightly higher (estimated 20-50%) than hailing a taxi on the road,
and in Pattaya, fares on grab are considerably higher (2 to 5 times) than same distance would be in Bangkok by hailing a taxi.
