Thanks, this is the kind of insight I yearn for on the forum. Each of us giving helpful hints that help a fellow member enjoy their vacation more. Now, I have a reason to visit Sunee. Can you give a clearer explanation of the location?[/QUOTE]
On Soi VC Hotel/Soi 17 there are two entrances to Sunee Plaza. One is next to Nice Boys. Just walk down that soi and Sky Pub is on the left side, not far from Double Shot Bar.
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
This bar could double as a Christian Science reading room.
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
OK, I've never seen it. But, could you be a bit more explicit? It seems you either don't like it or find it too tame, quieter than you would like? I know you live there so I'm interested in your observations.
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
It is very quite. Sunee beer bars what is left of them are all quite as mentioned before this side of Sunee is the most quite.
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
Double Shot was closed tonight and will remain closed for a total of 3 days. The whole Double Shot group went
a trip together. The bar is always closed on Sunday, so they’re making a 3 day weekend out of it..
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
paborn.......the remaining Sunee beer bars can be seen in a 5 minute walk about though they dismal the 4 gogo bars in Sunee are certainly worth a visit!
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
Perhaps as the world is getting all into the whole //me too thing and us gays are meant to be all about equality we should be boycotting Doubleshot then until he agrees to up the wages of his Cambodian staff to the same as his Thai staff - one job, equal pay etc etc.........I'll not hold my breath on that one though I think as equality is one thing but I'm guessing the average gay is only all for it if it doesn't reduces his chances of an easier, more available quick / cheap shag ......
I now await the "OHHH NO, that's not so" - but I bet we STILL drink there ( or the 100 other places that we know operate the same policies)
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
I am unsure of what Doubleshot pays if at all, but I found last trip the Cambodian boys were "not salaried" but freelancers.
I had noticed after 2130 meals were delivered but not sure who were catered for.
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
Many if not most beer bars have a variable mix of salaried/freelance.
If a farang “employs” a certain number of Thais (6?) you get one work permit - maybe that’s a reason in some cases
Re: Pattaya Report - Part 2
Immigrants across the world are always paid less. That's why governments allow them in.
