Those who write about "there are Thais who are not money boys, have their own bank accounts etc." are missing pete1969's point. This particular guy works in a hotel - he's probably getting a salary of between B5K and B9K per month. You can be sure he will be grateful for any little help he can get. It may not be "in, out, and here's your tip" on a daily basis but periodically he will look forward to the benefits that association with a rich Westerner (we are all rich in their eyes) can bring. How pete1969 manages that will be of interest but I doubt that the boy will be backward in asking for patronage. I agree with NaughtyButNice - there are lots of freebies to be had bt on the balance of probabilities, given the circumstances of the boy's job, I think the buffalo could be on its last legs as we speak
The sitution is analagous to those visitots who pick up a waiter at Balcony or Telephone (one Lee has finished with them). They are not money boys (per se)
