The price of a guy

"How much should I tip?" is a common question here, and opinions vary (a lot). In the latest Stickman Weekly the price a woman is discussed in relation to the latest "big thing" - an online App to find hookers called Smooci. Those who like paying a lot (my guess - to punish themselves for being gay, or old, or ugly, or sad and lonely perhaps) will be horrified at the relatively low prices. They confirm my view - that 1500 baht is "top dollar" for a guy these days, and has been for quite a while. That doesn't stop guys from asking more

Smooci is forcing prices down.

It's also another reason why bars are forced to close (economic principle here - disintermediation, or more simply "cutting out the middle man")

Anyone who pays 2700, let alone 4000, is overpaying.

Someone who is a prodigious top has often mentioned that 500 was the limit for guys with just an elementary formal education. It all depends...
500 is probably just right for a quickie, 1,000 for a short time pounding, and for the hopeless romantic it is all up to you.

Yes, soi Thaniya may be 5000 baht, easy. It is for Japanese customers only, girls standing outside their bars are forbidden to speak, or even look at a European men, if he tries to make contact.
Few years ago we were in Bangkok with best straight friend of mine, and we always walked by Thaniya, and every time he tried to make contact with working girl, it was hopeless, the poor guy was invisible to these girls lol. I loved it! I tried to steer him towards local guys, but he wouldn't budge, that's how boneheaded he was.

Later someone shared a theory why the girls who are intended for Asian customers aren't allowed to go with Westerners, apparently there's this belief that once a Western male has put his "enourmous" dick inside her, it somehow stretches woman's važin, and after that this girl is useless for Asian male. That's a common belief in Japan, so it doesn't surprise me the Thai girls have been told the same thing by their Japanese bosses in Soi Thaniya.

It's not my "area" of expertise.

Never underestimate the bamboo telegraph - if you get a reputation for paying over the odds, be it for boys or girls, the greediest will home in on you.

Conversely, if you get a reputation for being pleasant, but paying somewhat less than the going rate, the desperate will home in while the nice ones stand back.

And if you get a reputation for being a total cheapskate, everyone will ignore you - you can sometimes see this happen in bars as all the staff turn away and busy themselves with someone or something else when a known waste of time wanders in..

And mindful that they do talk and compare notes endlessly, I always pay everyone the same money:

1000 short time, and 1500 long time.

In the heart of Bangkok however, both tip expectations and barfines are much higher than elsewhere and the performance no better, so I see no point in entertaining the capital's sex workers..

1000 might suffice for short time in Pattaya, but in the Bangkok gogo bars I think they're going to be complaining about that. Mind you, when the same Bangkok gogo boys are on the phone apps, suddenly 1000 is OK for some of them.

Soi Thaniya is my favorite path between parts of my Real World. No hustle, no hassle. I take all of my straight farang guests through to exhibit what could be theirs if only....

That is sustenance for them for a good many days. But they have the chance to work longer hours or multiple sessions in a day.

Online? About 2,000 is the usual starting price which means you should easily be able to bargain down to 1500. I usually say I have a regular guy who is 1200 but I may be prepared to try someone new, then see where the conversation goes. Always useful to have a benchmark you can quote even if imaginary. That way you don't lose face if you decide to take him at a higher price than your benchmark and he can lower his price because he thinks you've got some experience.1200 is enough to sound plausible. I regularly get guys for 1000; it's a game and there are plenty of players out there so shrug your shoulders and move on

I actually got some guys into my room during my last holiday, several guys asked for taxi money, and that's what they got, 200-500 baht and that's all I would be prepared to pay. They are all ok with that, in fact, I had to persuade several guys leaving my room, since they were still there in the afternoon.

Mind you, none of those guys were from any of the go-go bars, as I never go there.

You think blued is bad, try using Gay Romeo or Planet Romeo in any of their guises.
