Bruce, we come from a country with a free press. That is not the case here as the story below illustrates. We would like to have an open discussion about some of these issues but we can't (no discussion of the elephant in the room), so yes this thread is about sharing information and often from nontraditional (for Thailand) news sources. There are expats and tourists here who read the Bangkok Post and the Nation and think unfortunately they are getting the whole story.Quote:

I don't mean to bring up a touchy subject, but.... Isn't this forum at risk for hosting such "sensitive" discussions here? ( I mean about "politics" )

The members know the forum rules regarding discussions about the monarchy and royal family and Surfcest moderates. This forum has had discussions about Thai politics ever since I can remember. Thailand has strict laws prohibiting lese majeste which are strictly enforced.Quote:
