The Balcony are either up on both these points or are about to rush out another newsletter - in the past few days they have emailed two, the first announcing they are not reopening yet and a few days later another announcing they are opening Monday including a special on a bottle of vodka!

the first of them have already had the disappointment of having to enter via a COE rather than the "new" "improved" Thailand Pass so I suppose they are ready for anything

things "go-go" better with Coke?
My recollections of go go bars suggest that the majority of punters are just as likely to drink coke or water as they are beer. And if they do choose a Singha, they tend to sip it so slowly that they make it last only as long as their choice of companion is made.
Soi 4 was such fun tonight.
All restaurants open and serving till 21:00.
Balcony packed (really) for quiz night.
Police came about 21:10 but not concerned about drinking up.
A really nice night.
