Yes they’ve edited the news conference clip down that was attached in that link from when I watched it last night. To be fair it was 2am when I was watching it and I could of course have misheard him, but I actually thought I specifically heard him mention “anyTHING coming Europe and referring to people AND trade - which of course I found strange myself.
So one of two things, they’ve corrected and edited out a “misspoken phrase” by him or I’ve misheard or misunderstood his news conference when tired, obviously more likely the latter ( although actually I’m still not so sure about that ...) anyway, sorry for any confusion caused re that either way as you’re right, the written statement to follow his news conference doesn’t mention trade.
EDIT !
NO ! I wasn't dreaming - I've just watched his original news conference again ( I'll try and post a link below) and he said very clearly - "These prohibitions will not only apply to the tremendous amount of trade and cargo but various other things as we get approval, anything coming from Europe to the united States is what we are discussing" THAT to me is fairly clear and unambiguous in intent - I wonder HAVE they rolled back on that then this morning on realising that it's both unnecessary and going to cause even more problems for everyone that any travel ban might !
Here's his words in his news conference ......

AHHHH EDIT No 2
So, I was right, he DID say it -- and then he TWEETED later to correct / alter his verbal statement and confirmed that's not what he meant and dropped it !!
My God, that's that sort of really stupid ( and costly) admin mistake you expect the likes of the Thai Government, not the USA for gods sake ! Someone's head should certainly roll for that major gaff !
For once you can't even really blame Trump himself as of course he just ( barely) reads what he's given by his press people I imagine, UNLESS it WAS him who insisted that was in there and someone afterwards THEN pointed out just how crazy that would be to him AFTER his news conference aired - unfortunately nothing from Trump surprises anymore !
Here's the BBC news article comment re this....
"Mr Trump initally said the travel suspension would also "apply to the tremendous amount of trade and cargo" coming from Europe into the US. He later tweeted to say that trade would "in no way be affected".
