The epic's origins are in India and Hinduism, but over the centuries the story has crossed seas and mountains, languages and religions, and is still a living performance tradition today.
Orissa Dance Company one of the most recognized and highly rated Indian Classical dance companies is known for their rendition of the Ramayana. In Bangkok the dancers will use all nine moods or rasas intrinsic to Indian classical dance to narrate an episode from Ramayana. A rare opportunity to see the original Ramayana.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL Samui Gay Pride is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Beach Volleyball Competition on September 21-23. This is the biggest event in the gay Samui calendar. Last year was a 1 day event that attracted 100-200 participants and was given wide coverage on print and web media across Asia. This year it will be a 2 day event and include BBQ Beach Party at gay friendly resort on the island.

To 27 September - Spirit of Budo Exhibition at G3 Art Gallery, 114 Sukhumvit Soi 23, Bangkok. The Spirit of Budo explores the history of the martial arts in Japan from battlefield technique to international sport. The first half of the exhibition is a display of reproductions of historical weapons and implements, such as sword mountings, bows, arrows, helmets, and suits of armour. The original artifacts are preserved in museums and castles, and what you see in the exhibition are reproductions that were faithfully crafted using traditional techniques.
