Thank you for pointing this out, Nirish guy.Quote:

Part of a poem by Mike Samford:
You are a homophone for the human race.
Are we not all homophones of each other?
A complacence to complaisance,
and effect to an affect, a tear to a tear,
the sole of a soul.
A homophone like you may be too
large a subject for one poem,
too complicated, too complex.
So, I will write about my cat instead,
a car ran over him yesterday
he is dead; and I have, in my fridge,
a half can of cat food in a plastic bag
useless and taking up space
and there is no homophone for that.

That's just Mike Hearn being an idiot again.
You can treat him the same as pubic lice. Kicking and screaming in pain until he dies, and becomes non-existent.
He and Gavin gambled, and they lost. Now they're bitter about it.
So none of the following is true?Quote:

Think about it. If you had never heard about Bitcoin before, would you care about a payments network that:

- тАв CouldnтАЩt move your existing money
тАв Had wildly unpredictable fees that were high and rising fast
тАв Allowed buyers to take back payments theyтАЩd made after walking out of shops, by simply pressing a button (if you arenтАЩt aware of this тАЬfeatureтАЭ thatтАЩs because Bitcoin was only just changed to allow it)
тАв Is suffering large backlogs and flaky payments

тАж which is controlled by China
тАж and in which the companies and people building it were in open civil war?
IтАЩm going to hazard a guess that the answer is no.
False, false, false, false, somewhat true, somewhat true.
Mike and Gavin started something called "Bitcoin XT", and basically tried to hijack the entire currency / network. It failed miserably, and just so happens, Jan 2016 was their self-imposed deadline for the majority of users to switch over to "XT". Didn't happen in the slightest measure, so now they're acting like little kids, and throwing a fit. Just ignore him, he'll go away in time. You can expect bitcoin to continue humming along just fine though.
You really, really sure about this? I'm finding with just a cursory search a lot of people agreeing that all the above is happening, ie.Quote:

Why is Peter Todd allowed to merge bizarre dangerous crap like this, which nobody even asked for and which totally goes against the foundations of Bitcoin (ie, it would ENCOURAGE DOUBLE SPENDS in a protocol whose main function is to PREVENT DOUBLE SPENDS)??
