To 25 August - Photo Exhibition "On the Beaten Track: A half-century of photography and change among highlanders of Thailand"- at the Art Centre CMU Nimmanhaemindha Road, Chiang Mai 2nd Floor. This exhibition depict the transformations that have occurred in the highlands of Northern Thailand over the last fifty years. The images come from private collections of anthropologists, missionaries and development experts, both Thai and foreign, and most of them are displayed here for the first time. The event is organized by Center for Ethnic Studies and Development of Chiang Mai University, institut de Recherche pour le D├йveloppement, and Institut Fran├зais, during August 9th - 25th, 2013. The Subject of the exhibition is the famous Edo-period ukiyo-e (woodblock print) artist Sharaku Toshusai (1794-1795), who is known for his inimitable portraits of Kabuki actors. To 25 August - Photo Exhibition "On the Beaten Track: A half-century of photography and change among highlanders of Thailand"- at the Art Centre CMU Nimmanhaemindha Road, Chiang Mai 2nd Floor. This exhibition depict the transformations that have occurred in the highlands of Northern Thailand over the last fifty years. The images come from private collections of anthropologists, missionaries and development experts, both Thai and foreign, and most of them are displayed here for the first time. The event is organized by Center for Ethnic Studies and Development of Chiang Mai University, institut de Recherche pour le D├йveloppement, and Institut Fran├зais, during August 9th - 25th, 2013. To 25 August - Sharaku Interpreted 5:00 pm Exhibition Sharaku Interpreted by JapanтАЩs contemporary artists at CMU Art Museum Nimmanhaemindha Road, Chiang Mai. The Subject of the exhibition is the famous Edo-period ukiyo-e (woodblock print) artist Sharaku Toshusai (1794-1795), who is known for his inimitable portraits of Kabuki actors. To 17 September - Exhibition at Dick's Dear Friends, After a three year break, we have decided to continue our support of the Thai arts and Thai artists again. We do hope to line-up new and old talents and showcase their art in DickтАЩs Caf├й Bangkok. Opening the new series of exhibitions will be Khun Yothin Bututham with oil and water color paintings.
