Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
sorry folks, my mistake - I meant to say I usually go for the LBs or GGs
so poshglasgow you don't need to be incredulous any longer
thanks to Gerefan 2 for explaining the abbreviations to everyone! I thought terms like GGs and LBs would be well known on a forum like this :)
- and thanks too to the guys who recommended places. I'll look them up
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
Bath – Currency of Thailand.
Unsure where the list came from but I thought the Thai currency was Baht. Is there two types

Oh don't be such a tight ass. You know very well it's just a bloody typo . . . or possibly it could be the writer just uses a hard sound "th" rather than a soft "th".
Na Lonely. What's next, "Warking Strete"?
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
I thought it was published as a reference .But with a mistake like that, one needs to ask what source he is quoting from. Did he make it up himself?
Surely he did not type all that in, when he could copy?
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
Oh, come on Lonely. Anybody who has spent some time in Thailand has seen the spelling 'bath' used in many places.
That doesn't make it right, but it's a common error.
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
gerefan2, The currency of Thailand is Baht not Bath although many do pronounce it that way or even as Bat.
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
As for accomodations in Sunee Plaza area, there are Elephant Plaza Hotel right in the center of the action and Mosaic Apartments on the outskirts in Day-Night area.
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
I've stayed many times at the Elephant Plaza Hotel. Nothing fancy (on the contrary...) but the rooms are large and they are cleaned every day by the friendly ladyboy. The staff are very friendly, too. Just make sure you don't go anywhere near the sofa as it's filthy.
If you are going to spend most of your time in Sunee then you are right in the middle of the action, or what's left of it.
BTW, baht being written as bath is probably a result of auto-correct.

Of course I didn’t write the list. It’s a crib from another site. I’ve better things to do!
You often see the word “Bath” used in Thailand to describe a price, its not at all unusual as anyone who has been there will tell you!
Re: Gay-friendly accom' near Sunee or Jomtien
Can't say that I've ever seen bath, even though I've been to Thailand a few times.
