Bangkok, English language schools
Hi,
Am looking to sponsor my friend through some English lessons in Bangkok. Can anyone recommend a good school? I'm looking for somewhere that will be flexible with course times - as he'll have to balance lessons with work.
So far I have obtained two quotes - each with very different prices, 8000 and 16000 for 40 hour courses. Can anyone with experience advise what I should be paying? I don't wanna get ripped off - but I don't wanna pay for some where thats a waste of time...
Steve

So much depends on the level of English your friend wishes to achieve. There are a lot of excellent courses from Conversation through to Business.
Assuming you do not want online courses then take a look at Bell International partner schools in Bangkok ( Google Bell International). My B/f did a couple of courses arranged through them late last year and they were done at the Assumption College. The school you use will depend on its location being convenient for your friend to travel to.
Avoid anything arranged via The British Council, I know a few people who have used their courses and have been very disappointed. The cost is going to depend on the level of course you choose but my b/f's cost aroung 8500 for 48 hours and his speaking and comprehension of English improved greatly
