Ledger takes out best kiss

AUSTRALIAN actor Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal have won an award тАУ for best kiss тАУ in the film, Brokeback Mountain.

The Oscar-winning film won the second-highest number of awards at the MTV Movie Awards, an offbeat awards show which lets MTV viewers choose the winners.

It's known for thumbing its nose at more high-brow ceremonies with categories like "best fight", statues of golden popcorn and shameless plugs for upcoming summer blockbusters.

Gyllenhaal also won best performance in the gay cowboy role in Brokeback Mountain.
