Arrived in bangkok on Tuesday evening, checked in at the dusit on rama4 (yay!!!) and rushed off to the go go bars...aimed for bangkok boys....nothing...nada...whole place totally quiet...some public/religious/whatever holiday on.
Fuck was I pissed off....just my luck!
Left soi twilight /Dungathee(or whatever its called) took a left and then a right onto Rama 4, on way back to Dusit...and was totally (pleasantly) surprised.....road was practically lined with rent boys.....totally toutingt for business....and now I know that half the boys on this board are gonna jump down my throat for this.....but i picked a gorgeous smooth muscle number with attitude....wanted 1000/short time and he was a "man"....guess that means a top.....bargained the bitch down...bought his arse for 400.....lovely!

next day....lunch time...cruised the toilets in the shopping mall in Silom Rd, had hardly whipped my cock out when I got cruised by the emo...told him to piss off...not interested ...he was persistent....so left...bought a coke and stood outside fuming....emo shows up with a "normal" looking number..."you no like meeee, you like my friend??/ says he! in that annoying drawn out sneering drawl....i was about to walk away when i had a second look at his friend.....nice...very nice....slim, witha nice bubble butt and a bit of facial hair....500 short time...arse was mine....could have lolled in bed all afternoon but had to get back to work....damn.

That evening....straight to the corner of silon and rama 4....butch/normal looking numbers aplently.....real cheap....fuck high season...or the fuck shows....or soi twilight....best time for the boys is most definitely low season....they don't all go home to tend to the buffaloes....lots stay and they gotta eat.

Left today (friday) and frankly feel like crying..,have had some fantastic sex in the last 3 days....can hardly wait until my next assignment in Thailand....

This is really interesting, even though I normally don't want to get into arguments. But I can back up a447's opinion, because I too walked along Rama 4 some time between 10 - 11 pm on Tuesday night (7 July), the night when all the bars closed, except Screw Boys which tried to stay sort-of open.

I saw about 4 guys, maybe 6. Two of them tried to catch my interest by saying hello. Six is in fact below the usual number I have seen on Rama 4 Road on previous visits to Bangkok.

At the mouth of Soi Pratuchi, and opposite it (the old Barbiery/Team Boys location), however, there were about 5 - 6 more. This was unusual in that freelancers would not normally be there. They were most likely not freelancers but boys who would normally be working in the bars (in fact I recognised two of them) but who didn't have a bar to work in this night.

Not possible either unless the mop lady was the emo and the slim guy with the bubble butt was the uniform guard.

I am a semi regular at the coffee shop, locally we call it the bird cage, it's really "Bangkok's Best Coffee" or "Chester's Coffee" on the second floor of the Silom Complex. Just before the holiday I noticed the guards running out the money boys. They were even running them out in front of the building. The mop lady was in the men's room pushing that dirty mop back and forth near the urinals non-stop. One of the boys banished to the BTS station told me there's a lady in every mens' now all the time.

Silom Complex does this every now and then and it might have been inspired by the religious holiday. It's back to normal now. The boys are back holding up the railing on the second and third floors and the mop lady is not in the mens' all day, just off and on.

Speaking of bubble butt'ed security guards. Anyone catch the crew that works the Thaniya Plaza building? At night they lounge on the steps and on parked motocys and some of them are not bad at all. Thaniya is the soi that connects Silom to Suriwong aka Japanese alley.

They can't do much about their skin tone. You don't have to be ghostly to live the emo lifestyle, though. I know several self-identified Thai emo kids.
