Further preparations for тАЬAmazing LoveтАЭ where 10,000 Chinese Tourists will marry here in Thailand.

On Tuesday Morning at Pattaya City Hall a preparation meeting was held by organizers of an event called тАЬAmazing LoveтАЭ, which will see a total of 10,000 Chinese Tourists get married in various locations around Thailand. They will also have their honeymoon here in Thailand as well. The Thai Chinese Culture and Economy Association, the Commerce Ministry, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Chinese Business Association are organizing the event which is set to begin on 30th July. 100 couples will be married at the Dusit Thani Resort in North Pattaya. 2 days later a further 100 couples will be married at the same location. Between August 2009 and December 2010 the remaining 9,800 Chinese Tourists will be married here in Pattaya and in various locations around Thailand including Phuket and Chang Mai. Wedding Guests are expected to total 300,000 and local tourist attractions and others around the country are cooperating with the program to ensure that everyone is entertained during their visit. This is good news for the local economy which will undoubtedly reap the benefits.

There is also a serious gender imbalance. These situations led the government in July 2004 to ban selective abortions of female fetuses. It is estimated that this imbalance will rise until 2025тАУ2030 to reach 20% then slowly decrease.
