I wish I'd done it years ago

Yesterday morning when I was in the bathroom, on impulse, I shaved my pubic hair.

Wow ... what a strange experience. It was slightly erotic even though I was doing it to myself and I started to get a bit stiff.
It now feel so cool down there, it feels bigger when I go for a piss and it looks bigger!
Actually, in the mirror 'my lunchbox' now looks about twice the size. I know it's only a matter of uncovering what's been covered up in the past but ... WoW.

Last night I took a Thai friend home. I had been with him before and his reaction was positive and flattering. "Ooh you so big now" ... and the feeling of being licked over those newly shaved parts was sensational (I'll save the rest for CFS)

Has anyone else tried it?

Wait till about a week after you've been shaved. Its going to itch something fierce lol. And the stubble burn that your partner gets, might not be enjoyed all that much.
Its one of those things, if your going to do it, you have to maintain it, otherwise it just gets annoying for you. Shaving the area every day, especially if you have sensitive skin, will cause breakouts, same as on your face. Not shaving enough, leaves irritating stubble. I would say every 4-5 days is about right on re-shaving.
Not long enough to irritate you, and short enough to do quickly without nicking yourself and burning through razors.

I agree with what you said about the look though. It does add an inch or two on looks. I'm a bit on the hefty side, and it always looks like I shaved in a circle. So it kind of looks like one of those smiley faces with a cartoonish nose lol.

That wasn't my experience. I'd go to the gym and everything would stick together rather uncomfortably. Trimming by half seems to be a good compromise.

Agreed. I hear that using an electric beard trimmer lets you choose how short to cut the hair.

I think younger men who shave it all off look like pre-pubescent boys (not a good thing in my book.) Older men who shave it all off just look strange. But a nicely trimmed bush can be a nice look, especially on some guys who otherwise have a HUGE bush.

I started shaving my "area" about 8 years ago and don't regret it....there is some irritation the first month but it seems to go away. True, it is another part of your body that has to be maintain, but for me it is just once a week--keep your shaver in the shower/ and you can use hair removal, but it depends how sensitive your skin is. (True, try waxing.). If one enjoys any "foreplay" with their partner, it is nice to have a smooth, clean shaven private area down there for recreation thanforeplaying through a forest of hair. (big turn off for me).

They are mostly trimmed, not shaved. Big difference. IMHO, trimmed pubes look nice. Shaved ones look gross.

I don't iike the fully shaved look...it's kind of creepy in a way sometimes.

I think trimming is the best. Keep it neat and trimmed and you don't have the worry about the itchy stubble thing...*shudders*... and it looks more natural.

If I ever find myself with a local who has shaved, my libido vanishes in a second and I have to send him packing ... I just LOVE the sight of that cute little black bush! Do what you want to yourself, but PLEASE don't start a trend!
