He will not disappoint his many Worldwide fans and states he will join us at The Venue at some future date.

The management have already spoke to both Peter Storro and Jim Lumsden ( PGF representatives)prior to this announcement, stating that The Venue are going to make a personal donation to the PGF re this cancelled event.

Miss Booze, I expect that you have just been released from the Day Care Centre and are catching up on events. What the Venue originally promised the members of this forum was that they their hard opening(sic) would be presided over by the "worlds number one gay icon"! While this is hyperbole worthy of Let Me Throw Up, their previous publicist, this was announced by the owners themselves.

Many, fevered and varied were the speculations over who could fulfill such a fantastic description. Suffice to say that the name of Lukas Ridgeston was not one of those mentioned as a possibility, and some were a little disappointed by the choice, not to say feeling misled by the hype. While Lukas may once have been a porn star, who may have strengthened many wrists during his prime, he is now middle aged and retired. Had The Venue been able to deliver on even this promise, the front row might not have been the best place to sit, given that Lukas' claim to fame, at least in his prime, was the distance that he was able to project his sperm when ejaculating.

However the Venue is now not even able to deliver a middle aged porn star as it's "Number One Gay Icon", so it is not surprising that a little disenchantment amongst the gathered members has crept in. Even antagonism to The Venue may be felt by some given the absurd, and in many cases offensive comments of The Venue's previous publicist. The owners had the opportunity to disassociate themselves from that psychopath, indeed were invited by myself to do so, but chose to let his OTT rants continue without demur.

Thus The Venue finds itself where it is today, the Niddy's Nook of the year. Although The Venue announces above that it will make a contribution to the PGF charitable funding, in view of the publicised and cancelled funraiser, it neglects to mention what that donation will be, rendering the announcement a little meaningless.

On another note, may I congratulate you on typing your post given the hardships and limitations of DT.

Although I would not have been able to make it to the grand event, I would certainly have been all eyes if I had. Lukas Ridgestone may have been in the business for a while ...but lets face it, he will always look considerably better than most of us. Fortunately though green goes with tanned skin well, so most suit this colour.

Give The Venue a break. They are just passing on information and it's not as if disappointment is new to most of us. Just have a good look at yourselves. Some really do need to grow up (not out).

A question? Given the bandwidth that has been used on this board promoting this, The, Venue, have they made any contribution to the running costs of this forum. I always smile when others try to justify that they have friends that are 10 times as rich!!! It is mind blowing. I agree with JGG it was a very nice evening, with the plenty of well known faces attending.
Whilst I am not a real Lukas fan, the crowd and especially the Thais in the audience, were very keen to have a photo op afterwards. He seemed to be signing plenty of pics of himself for them.
Well done to the owners for an excellent show and an entertaining evening. I think compliments must also go to Cafe Royale for the excellent food buffet that was provided.
