Thailand National Bodybuilding Competition 2006 + photos

In response to ngamduphli's question in another trail, I hear that the competition is on 22nd and 23rd April at The Thai-Japan Gym in Din Dang Bangkok. I had received mis-information in the past so if this changes don't be surprised.

These events as you can see are not tittilating but serious. The guys wear stain and oil and then sweat a lot as the pose under the lights. The audience are quite distant as there is a judge's area between the stage and the audience. You can walk to the side of the stage to take photos but it's difficult to get the colour adjusted. The guys are mostly backstage and if our front with their families and friends so contact is almost impossible.

The entrants diet down to reduce their bodyfat to as little possible. They mostly eat only egg whites and steamed chicken breasts for 5 - 3 weeks prior to the competition. I'm sure that many find this, over hightened definition, unattractive

After all your trips to Thailand I can't believe you've never been to Tawan Bar. There are MANY MANY boys who look like that working there. In fact a few of them are on the photos shown above. Why settle for hamburger when you can have high quality steak?

Absolute perfection in my mind. Nothing like slobering over a stud like these. Thank God we don't all like the same thing.

I agree with LMTU. All those photographs above have way too much of a yellow bias. But I find that loading them into photoshop and turning up the blue, produces purrrrfection.

I'd have to take a barf bag with me if I went to one of those things. You'd have to force my eyes open like a scene from A Clockwork Orange. It's that revolting to me.

Well after spending over an hour getting a cd of the bodybuilding championships copied last night, I fond that all the same photos are on thaibody. Never mind it's great to see them and to see that so many of the champions and top runners up were stars of Tawan Bar.

I do agree that the dark stain and heavy oil that they apply, for posing is unattractive, but it's supposed to show off their muscle definition (?) not to make them look sexier.

Whilst it is amazing how lean these guys get for competition it's also amazing how fast they can put weight on afterwards. Still they are looking great.

I have to say that I would never go to a body building comp' (it would just make me feel even more depressed about my less than solid wobbly bits) and I do think that the guys in the pic's look kinda weird, but I also think that if you take a trip to the Tawan bar in Bangkok, you will be amazed at how great these kinda guys look in real life. They are handsome, toned and from the jutting of their shorts, not as under-equipped as some think bodybuilders tend to be. Tawan has to be one of my favourite bars in Bangkok although I still haven't plucked up the courage to take one of these gods home.

I gather that this Junior Champion is new and only 19 years old.
I hope it revolts those who should be ignored

I can't look at the cd pics on my Apple so I will go to Kodak and get it put onto a dvd or Kodak cd which will work. My source is confidentail and I don't know who took the photos. There are 350+ of them in large format so sharing could pose problems?
