View Full Version : Anyone Tried Fan Club?

Two guys, one Burmese and one Lao, were handing out flyers for this place recently.

Better hurry, before travelerjim petitions to have them closed down for harbouring illegal aliens.

Yes, I have been to Fan Club 3 times. Once in 2007 and twice on my visit last November.

The mamasan on my last visits was really pushing the 4 hand massage. I think their business was maybe not so bustling so he was trying to generate as much business as he could. He said he would give me a good deal on it but I chose not to. Sounds like they are advertising even more now if they are passing out fliers.

The building is fairly modern but sort of a big concrete block. The rooms are decent but could use a good cleaning, particularly the showers and the bath mat/towel at the shower entrance. There is a shower in the rooms. Depending on the masseur he will either join you or shower separately. The beds are large, low double beds. They have an area to hang your clothes. And the rooms are airconditioned.

On my first visit the masseur I selected was a nice guy. Claimed to be a computer student. Massage was uninspired and he definitely was moving on the after-massage activity very quickly. But he was a pleasant companion for those activities.

Last year both visits I selected a slight Chinese-Thai boy called Jackie. He spoke a little English. Very smooth and slender. Gave a pretty good massage and was happy to please me however I wanted after the massage.

When you enter they take you up a flight of stairs to a lounge area. They get you a drink and the boys all line up in the downstairs gym area. The lounge you are in overlooks the gym through a large glass window. Most of the boys take their shirts off and you make your selection of boy and massage type. Then the boy will lead you up another flight or two or three of stairs to a massage room.

Prices are similar to the other "upscale" massage places like Senso.

I enjoyed my time there more or less. They have a pretty good selection of boys and a variety of types. I think the mamasan owns other businesses as well. He always gives me a copy of a gay publication that is published in Thai and English. I can't remember the name of it. But I had a feeling he was involved in the production somehow.

I was just at Fan Club a few days ago (Mon 3/23) around 12:30, a half hour after opening. They only had two guys on duty at the time. Without a specific recommendation for someone who can actually do a proper massage I chose Tar. HeтАЩs short - maybe 5тАЩ 4тАЭ - and claims to be 55Kg, but that may be a bit high. He was cheerful and did his best to chat when I wanted to.

To save some time let me say I know that this sort of place isnтАЩt as much of a sure thing for a skilled massage, but I like trying new places and although I donтАЩt go for the тАЬaftersтАЭ like most reports I read I certainly donтАЩt mind if the masseur decides he works better sans shirt (or more). I was pleasantly surprised that he actually knew how to do a very good massage, too.

A 90 minute cream massage was 900B. The photos of the rooms in their advertising make them seem far more pleasant than they actually are, but they were clean, the shower in my room was a good 6 feet by 6 feet and the soap and scrubber actually stood a chance of getting the massage gunk off afterwards, with Tar's help.

Did you obtain his permission to post his photograph here? Isn't this against the rules? Moderator?

It was an oversight that I didn't add this to my post, but yes - when I told him I would put his picture up on the internet, give him a good recommendation and perhaps send some customers his way, and he laughed and said "OK". I didn't get a signed model's release, though!

The posting guidelines don't allow identifying a forum member by name but don't say anything about non-members:
(3) IDENTIFYING MEMBERS BY THEIR REAL NAMES, OR BY POSTING THEIR ADDRESSES, PHONE NUMBERS, E-MAIL ADDRESSES (etc etc.) IS NOT ALLOWED.

It SHOULD go without saying you can NOT assume that anyone's photo appearing here implies they are gay, straight or anything in between -- but for the benefit of Beach Bunny and anyone else who tends to bite before barking, there you go. Thanks for the reminder, BB

My one experience with Fan Club (Dec 2008) is consistent with the above reports - massage skill should not be expected and "afters" seem to be the main point of this business, though of course, much depends on the chemistry or attitude of the boy. The beds are wide, the rooms spacious and the airconditioning good despite the intense heat outside. Rooms include a shower area, and at least in my case, my masseur washed me down post-massage.

So simply saying you have someone's permission is good enough?

Oh, goody.

I do have to good photos to post now.

To add Beach Bunny to your ignore list, go to:

User Control Panel >>>> Friends & Foes >>>> Manage Foes >>>> Add New Foe (type in Beach Bunny) >>>> Submit >>>> Yes

The best way to rid yourself of a troll.

Cheers ...

I have been there once, a few weeks back now.
I went about 3.00 in the afternoon, and was able to choose from about 6 masseurs. As I was leaving nearer 4.30, the masseur numbers appeared to be at least 10.

A curious place physically. As a newbie, I walked in and sat down on a bench seat. I was quickly instucted to go upstairs, the ground floor level being where the masseurs hang out.
Upstairs there is a pleasant enough reception room with bar. A mamasan who spoke passable English explained the prices, and suggested a 4 hand massage special to me (I notice someone else got a similar offer), but I declined.
This seemed to be the end of the mamasan's enthusiasm to chat or help with selection.
From upstairs, there is a large glass window where one can look at the masseurs, and make a choice. However, they can see you, no one-way mirrors that I have heard exist in a couple of places.

Having made a choice, working on pot luck about how it turn out, I was escorted upstairs to a massage room.
A spacious room, good air, a large futon like platform; and a large shower area, big enough for 3 or more.
But the shower area was cement, floor and walls, not a tile to be seen. Was this a typical room? Don't know.
It then occured to me that the reception room was bare plasterboard walls, joins showing.
It is a new building, so did the funds run out before finishing?
Anybody with a fantasy about doing things in a building site (and it is amazing what some will fantasize about) might like Fan Club.

Prices are about the usual range. My masseur claimed to be new (2 days) from up north, but seemed to know how to go about things, so I think there was more experience from somewhere.
A nice enough boy, 6.5 for massage, about the same for afters, after which we showered together.

So the Fan club is not one of the massage venues where the masseur strips down completely at the get-go? 900B for a cream massage without sex is a lot to pay. You can go to a lot of other places where sex is either not an option or is only offered as a optional side.

If I am going for a non-sex massage, I like to go to Babylon. 500B, nice room, comfortable table and most have decent skills. It's also good after you had a lot of sex so there's no sexual tension and arousal as a distraction. Just relax and enjoy.

It is one of those venues, TrongpaiExpat, and while I agree that 900B for just a massage is high I wasnтАЩt aware of their rates before going in. Someone had sent me a suggestion to try it after my post about Casanova.

Since I was mainly there to try out a new place and it was extremely hot that day I chose to just say тАЬoh, what the hellтАЭ and pay it, rather than again join the mad dogs and Englishmen out in the mid-day sun (as Noel Coward sang) and head off to another place.

ThereтАЩs no real discrete way of saying this so IтАЩll just add that although untested by me, the тАЬextrasтАЭ were ready, able, and FAR more than ample.

Have no doubts, TrongpaiExpat.

When the massage begins, both masseur and customer are wearing no more than a smile.

My vague recollection is that a one hour oil massage was 500-600 baht, about the usual for this type of place.

March 28th, 2009, 17:35
In December 2008, 500 baht for oil massage (1 hr) and 600 baht for cream massage (1 hr). I don't understand why cream should cost more.
