The intersection of Maria Orosa St and Julio Nakpil St in Malate is the "X marks the spot" center of gay Manila. The whole street is lined with various gay establishments. Bars are within five minutes from each other, very similar to the Silom area in Bangkok. There are of course other gay establishments in Metro Manila widely spread over this mega city.

Bars and Clubs

Although much of this is directly from Utopia the center marks the spot is right , but the center really is Obar, Chelue bar next door and then bed and Fab and the Comedy club all with in a 2 minute walk of each other and some next door. This list in no means is exhaustive. and much is left out here and only the high spots of the ones that advertise on Utopia are mentioned. The moist popular meeting place for everyone is Obar by far then on to bed and or Government bar in Makati. However, just for one on one meeting guys no where beats Obar. its open tables on the outside gives you music low enough to talk and then if you really like pushing people around you can go inside to the dance floor that is always full of at leaet 100 more than the fire department would allow I am sure. bed bar is a accident waiting to happen with a fire and many will not go there for that reason. If you want to know about any specific bars let me know, although I may not have been to all of them chances are I know someone who has.
