Any info/advice on the 'pay for play' scene in Rio? Am aware that it's probably a lot riskier than Pattaya, but might be tempted.

I was thinking of visiting Brazil too, so have been checking some websites.

Rent boy saunas seem to be very common. Apparently, they ask for 80 real & you are expected to haggle down to 50.

I was in Rio for ten days about four years ago. Only info I could find before trip was some lousy web sites but reference to saunas had peaked my interest. While there the weather happened to be lousy which ruined the famed beaches and where the boys for rent should be available.

Saunas were small converted houses but in all cases were clean and bedrooms full size with double or larger bed. After entering your surrounded by boys in towels as you enter a bar lounge area (30 to 40 boys and only a handful of half a dozen customers). Handsome boys were everywhere and the ones with huge endowements were showing them off as soon as they could get your attention. Very casual scene in the bar/lounge area with all boys trying to get your eye contact without undue pressure. Not the pushy mamasan scene and in fact you could have easily handled every boys dick in the place without any need to tip. Buy him a beer.

Hours were early from about 1600 to 2000. Seems like boys got off work and came here before evening activities. Boys were far more masculine than our normal or average Thai boy. For the most part very handsome and I was hard pressed to make a decision on which one to take. Beer was very cheap as I remember only a couple US dollars. Buying a few boys beers surrounded you much like Krazy Dragon with towels off begging for your attention.

Every experience I had found the boy to meet up to the true romantic Latin Lover mystic. Beautiful lovemakers. Boys seem to really specialize in making you feel good with kissing, biting the ears, and all sorts of oral lovemaking. Even if boys are straight they are damn good at being a Latin Lover. Far more agressive than most of the Thai boys. A boy that was bigger than I thought I could take, begged me to at least let him massage me and see how good he could make me feel. He was so good he made me beg for him to do me and somehow he got it all in and it felt right. He was the biggest I had ever taken and had extremely skilled technique to make it work.

I remember the price being acceptable and maybe as low as $30 or $50. Pre-agreed upon price with boy while in the bar/lounge and no "up to you" or calling it a tip.

It seemed most boys had straight or at least regular evening lives and only came in for the business clients after work. I left one evening before 8:00PM as half a dozen working boys were leaving. This sauna was half a dozen blocks from the business area so they welcomed me into the walking group with them. When stopping at food venders they made me feel welcome by sharing food and lots of laughter.

Further along the boy that had screwed me the night before met up with his wife and bambino kid. He introduced me and I believe he explained to his wife that I had been his trick last night and thus the money for the family. She was very pleasant to a very uncomfortable me. She may have even thanked me. As the boys and I went our separate ways they each wished me well and made me promise to come back. They were having a good time with lots of laughter.

BIG PROBLEM are the Brazil hotels. I had made friends with a boy and thought I could get him into my room. He was sure we could not and he was right. I tried bribing security and elevator boy but no luck. If I go back I will try to rent a condo with no regulations.

DISCO. I used the saunas so much I only made it to the big gay disco my last two nights. Acres and acres of masculine boys with their shirts off. Dancing reminded me of the big California or New York disco bars in the 70's. Some of the most gorgeous boys I had seen in a lifetime. When leaving a young movie star beauty begged me to take him. After my last attempt to get a boy to my room I was not about to try again. I entered a taxi saying no to possibly the best experience of my life. I'm sure he would have known of a short time hotel room and as long as I live I will never forget his looks with his unbuttoned shirt and face beautiful. Never had I seen an adonis like him. Oh, stupid me.

Brazil vs Thailand. Absolutely cannot compare the two. Scene in LOS is like no other in the world. Boys in Brazil are like no other. The scene in Brazil sucks with no gay hotel (none that I knew of). I would go back to Brazil in a heart beat if it didn't mean giving up a trip to LOS.

My heart is forever in Thailand, but the boys of Brazil will always be on top.

thanks splash4, that's exactly the kind of reply i was hoping for. my heart is still in LoS, and i still intend to live there someday, but i feel i need a change this year, and rio is it. i maybe won't feel as comfortable with the boys as i do in pattaya, but who knows? life is all about risk.

Hi - Someone mentioned about bringing guys back to your hotel in Rio. It can be a real problem. Picking your hotel is very importnat, by the beach is what I chose both times I was there. As I recall the money rate fluctuated a lot. The boys were fine and easy to spot. They can take you to their place or agree on a sauna. I found the beach by the Palace to be ground zero for me. Even had a few drinks at the bar there but would not stay their as it out of my price range. Also eating is a big thing in Rio. They do love lots of red meat. The bars can be a bit wild in the late evening, but everything is late evening in Rio. I recall a few of the places did not open till midnight. Have a good time. I can not comment too much on the size thing as I don't recall seeing any extreme hoses. Now Egypt is different, Prize equipment is seen at the saunas and if you have blue eyes you will be sought after. Seems they dont get a lot of blue eyes to look at.
