I used JetStarAsia a couple of years back, and found them to be fine.
Well, now I think about it, the flights were into and out of Don Muang as the BKK airport, so how many years is it?

Flew in both directions. The return flight was a Valuair plane, clearly the two airlines combined their customers.
I'm not sure if Valuair still exist.

Tiger Airlines probably fly this route, should be OK.

Air Asia (http://www.airasia.com/) but read all the pop up windows or you will end up with buying insurance.

Also check out Thai Fly (http://www.thaifly.com/)

Swiss are afternoon/evening so not particularly good flight time back to Bangkok, therefore cheapish on Expedia, and full service, if you can put up with the Swiss "attitude". :salute:

I just was on Cathy Pacific for 5,600 B round trip, other than the pushy Chinese (maybe just off farm and first flight) was ok. Usually fly SQ or Thai.
This flight was within same price range as Air Asia and Jet Star.

I would also check Air Asia but be aware that they have lots of charges for all sorts of things. If you are taking baggage that weighs more than a little bit you will pay a lot.

You can also use an aggregator site like www.kayak.com (http://www.kayak.com) to see most flights/airlines flying the route. I just stuck a sample roundtrip BKK-SIN in there and see Air India is the cheapest of those listed there. Depending on your dates that may or may not be the case.

Airninja seems like a good site for checking Asian airline routes.

Airninja (http://www.airninja.com)

Kayak is excellent for traditional airline bookings, but does not cover low cost airlines.

Another option would be to take a low cost flight to KL, enjoy that city for a day or so then find one of those luxury Malaysian buses with the reclining seats to go to Singapore.
