$30-40 per night [Rp.330-440,000], there are thousands. It all depends on what you are looking for [not a villa with private swimming pool], and in which area. Bali is so diverse.

Depending on the lenght of stay, Last year I stayed at Puri Dewa Bharata, Nakula street, it was 400.000 IDR for a double room with aircon, room are large in size, there is a swimming-pool and a small restaurant. It is near the gay bars, maybe 10 mn walk. I never had problems getting joiner to my room. It is not a gay place, the staff is friendly.
I already booked a room for a week next May, they make me the same offer at 400000 IDR with breakfast and airport pick up at my arrival included. Nakula street is situated in front of Jalan double six when you stand in Legian street. I remember that the Balifriendly office is in the same street, just 20 meters from the hotel. Have a nice trip

THere is never a problem taking a 'guest' back to your room in Bali, as long as both you and he act with some sense of decorum. Public kissing and fondling is not acceptable in Balinese culture, between boys, girls, men or women.
