whisked through immigration and customs to the waiting car.

I've usually managed to whisk myself through Immigrations & Customs to find the driver I've booked wating for me and it didn't cost B 2000.

Do you elbow people out of the way ... that might be worth B 2000 to see.

Can't see the value in this unless you're totally hopeless or maybe if you've got something tucked away in your baggage that shouldn't be there and whisking through customs seems especially appealing.

It's been a couple of years since I last came in through Suvarnabhumi , but don't Business Class passengers get fast tracked anyway?

PS. The one time I booked Image to go from Pattaya to Bangkok, the driver didn't arrive on time, I had to call the office and the person who answere the phone seemed clueless. The driver eventually pitched up 15 minutes late and didn't seem capable of whisking himself anywhere let alone me.

No, the lack of a fast track is a constant gripe of Business Class passengers. You do get an escort if you arrive and depart on Thai Airways First Class though. They even drive you around in an electric cart, like an invalid. It's quicker to whisk yourself through usually.

How do they get passed security without a boarding pass ? They cant be that lax are they

A naked woman streaks past security and while their attention is diverted, the people meeting arriving clients race past immigrations and security.

But seriously ...all flights include people from tourist agencies, organizations hosting visiting speakers, government officials, et al meeting arriving passengers. You don't really think everyone in the airport has a boarding pass, do you?

When I first came to Thailand as a tourist I was met at the gate by someone from the travel agency who got me through immigrations (using the desk for diplomats !!) and on to my hotel. It's not a big deal. They have security passes, like all the cleaning ladies and fruit juice sellers and construction workers.

The longest time I've queued at immigration is about 15 minutes - how much faster can this VIP thing be?

Here's my own version of VIP Service when arriving at Suvarnabhumi:

I wisk my sore ass through customs with my beat-up suitcase and lengendary adventure backpack - dash outside to have a quick smoke - tell the first taxi leech that all I'll give him is 900 baht plus tolls to Pattaya...take it or leave it. I then totally ignor his attmepts to explain why he needs more than 900 baht. while enjoying the final few puffs on my cigarette. 60 seconds later, he grudgingly agrees... and we''re on our way.

Now,what I'm really looking for is a VIP service that knows how to deliver service to a guy like me. Offer an on-line transportation-escort service where I can select a boy on-line based on a few photos and a few details describing his sexual preferences, as a back-seat escort. Preferrably, this service would be provided in a stretch limo with heavily tinted windows, complete with a fold-down sleeper, surround sound stereo and a few candles. The back-seat escort fee would be set at 1,000 baht which includes one hour of sex and one hour of listening to me snore.

Total cost = 2,000 baht.

Now, tell us about a service like that and watch your phone lines burn.

Lol. Well, at least the poor thai dude would have some enjoyment (the second hour, of course....)!

P.S. Of course, I do hope you snore in Thai?

So, Boys & Girls, what have we learned today?

Using Sawatdee Forum to advertise your products or services may not be the marketing coup you'd envisioned. :tif:

On the contrary, if you purchase advertising space here it can be quite effective and well-targeted, and it gives you your own premium space here that no one else can add their opinion to. Opening a thread on the board is an invitation to discussion and quite possibly debate.

One other way to have your own space is to start a blog (for Golden Members only) and set the permissions as you wish. Only friends can reply, no one can reply, up to you.

I know one or two very self important people that this VIP service will appeal
to but most of us are more than satisfied with making our own arrangements. Image has been around for a while and as X stated,
self promotion doesn't always work.. Just ask Niddy's farang. :joker:

Stopped using Image a long time ago.
They hiked their prices up far too high.
Plus their drivers are grasping individuals.
Definitely:
Not recommended.

Small wonder that Suvarnabhumi is ranked as one of the least secure modern international airports and that its operating licence was being questioned by the CAA even before the PAD managed to take it over so easily; the last time I flew, just over a year ago, they had convinced the CAA that their security precautions had been improved by telling passengers to book in 3 hours in advance - even though the book in desks only opened 2 hours before the flight!

I queued for 1.5 hours for immigration on November 25th (the day before they closed the airport!)
I was so long in the queue that Air asia had moved my bags to the lost and found office!

Problem was that a plane load of japanese landed ahead of us and then 2 planes from mainland china straight landed after. The Chinese barged and bullied their way through the crowd to the front of the queue... Damn annoying for the corteous Farangs and Japanese - but very effective for the chinese!

this is certainly a most welcome service I shall use that befits my status. (I have previously been escorted off planes but usually through a misunderstanding ) .

I like Image Limo and I only have one complaint-the cars are so luxurious-the ride so smooth-the drivers so amiable and safe-I generally fall alseep and get no time to enjoy the little bits of pampering that go on during the journey like cool towels and drinks, choice of music or dvds. :thumbleft:

(Rumours that my constant dozing is alcohol related are greatly exagerated )

Possibly they were all Image VIP clients. The distinction between " barged and bullied " and being "whisked" is open to interpretation.

Not a problem for those sophisticates among us (myself included, naturally) who carry an APEC business card.Is that the same as the APEC business travel card that homintern carries but which he told us is due to be abolished (I think he based that on information from boygeenyus, and didn't lonelywombat tell us that this version of The Colonel is boygeenyus masquerading as The Colonel)?

Possibly they were all Image VIP clients.Do you think Image could keep some spare for those posters who have said that their impression of a VIP service includes a boy in the back seat?

When I've used Image they delivered exactly what they promised for their premium price plus a previously researched knowledge of my destinations in both Bangkok and Pattaya.

On my last trip to Pattaya from Bangkok Airport I used a service frequently lauded on this board. I booked the transfer a week in advance. The proprietor seemed scandalised that I do not use a mobile phone. I was kept hanging around the airport next to "exit 3" for over half an hour during which I called the proprietor twice and then had a long walk and wait while the battered old Toyota was dug out.

On arrival at Pattaya the idiot youth driver couldn't find one of the largest four star hotels in town without my assistance and that of the boss on the squalktalk.

They forgot I have a choice.

If I ever go to Pattaya again I shall certainly consider Image.

As far as the Mainlanders are concerned just push right back. Take it from one who knows. :salute:

The shortest time I have queued at Immig was when leaving on 5 December... There was hardly anyone and the Immig Officers were beckoning and smiling! I was expecting to be offered candy!!

Having never seen anything pleasant like this before I was taken aback. I usually get some dough faced bint who talks non stop to some other old bag totally ignoring me... Well u know how it is. :pukeleft:

Cannot believe this.
3,000 baht one way to Pattaya for 2 people?
So round trip is 6,000 baht?
Rediculous and only idiots would pay these kind of prices!

The B 3000 only gets two of you from the airplane to the limo. Then you add on the limo charges and the tip.

I'm not sure that even includes the Pattaya transfer. Isn't it just the VIP airport facilitation?

He's posted the same message on ThaiVisa as a newbie (apparently reluctant to use an ID that included "gay') and used the old wide-eyed newbie gambit: "I just heard ..." Similar to someone who claims "my friend told me," popular in some quarters.

Apparently he's now dragooned his mother into the marketing ploy.

I just heard that Image Limousine in Pattaya is offering a VIP Escort service at Suvarnabhumi.
It consist of being met at the aircraft door and escorted through immigration and customs to their waiting car. Price is 2000 Baht for 1 person or 3000 Baht for 2.
Their no. is 038 756658 and email reservations@imagelimo.com

Might be useful when my Mum visits!

You want to be met at the aircraft and whisked through Immigrations and Customs the next time you're in Sunnee? There might be one or two logistical hurdles to overcome first.
