"Former Pheu Thai spokesman Sakda Noppasit said the party had only a slim chance as the military had lobbied the others to join the Democrat Party. Pheu Thai has vowed revenge and said it would challenge the Democrat-led government's legitimacy in every way.

"It would be tit-for-tat and could be more severe," he said.

A party source said plans to destroy the credibility of many institutions such as the justice system had been laid out. Protests like those staged by the People's Alliance for Democracy would be planned. Demonstrators would work closely with the red-shirted pro-PPP government group."

I don't think there will be more airport closures. The PAD didn't expect the huge impact on their last action, and of course they would have ended it after one or 2 days, if there wasn't this "loose face" thing around. PAD, PAAD, UDD or any other political orientated group won't do this again (I hope!)

If the PPP tries to close the airport the Army will come out and shoot them down.
Anyone who doesn't think so isnt really paying attention to the backstory lately.

All it would seem the PT (PPP) have to do is wait for the by-elections for the 41 disbarred MPs; if they win, they will have a clear majority and be back in control. They tried to have the by-elections held today and tomorrow, but the necessary royal assent was reportedly not available.
