December 3rd, 2008, 11:21
It has been announced by AOT (Airports of Thailand) that both Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang Airports will re-open for flights on 4th Dec.

PAD protesters have left this morning (10:00 AM on 3rd Dec) both airports and both AOT and IATA checking all systems to give go-ahead.

There is bound to be some disruptions for first few days, but at least the blockade is over, and tourism can try and recover a little bit of too much lost business.

"Major General Chamlong had a handover ceremony of the airport to Airports of Thailand at 9:00am (local time)," protest leader Somkiat Pongpaibul said, referring to People's Alliance for Democracy co-founder Chamlong Srimuang. "From now the protesters will start to leave. Some of them have started to leave since this morning and gone home. We will come back when the nation needs us," he added.

Brilliant, we get to see the AOT chief launch himself at Chamlong and strangle him to death.
