The prude-in-me comes out: Not having a computer while living here in Thailand, I rely on my local internet cafe (15 baht an hour for a very speedy connection) to access the WWWeb.

When I log into Sawatdee I am invariably confronted by a very large waving flesh-coloured (what else?) dildo in full turgid erection (what could be better in a dildo?).

Now I don't give a damn whether anyone or his horse knows whether I'm gay . . . and I don't care whether anyone looking over my shoulder thinks ill of me (or thinks anything of me for that matter) for opening up a website named quite obviously Sawatdee GAY Thailand.

But I'm kind of wondering whether this excitable (& cut!!!) dildo waving it's bloated head and peehole in my face and at least my 2 next door neighbour's as well, isn't a bit of overkill in the pornography department. As I read the topics I'm hoping and praying that the blood-engorged butt plug morphs quickly into the more harmless and less obvious adds ... but it seems there is some kind of time limit on our Board's gigantic rubber prick's staying power which is in fact far greater than my own ability ("at my age") to maintain such a time-feat in real life. (and perhaps that's my real problem :blackeye: )

OK ... ya know I'm gay folks, or at least guessing I am, by the byline of the website I'm reading. But Mr Bill vibrating happily alongside the Forum Topic list might just make one feel that he should be wearing a long dirty raincoat with easy-open buttons and no underwear.

Could I be the only one feeling slightly uncomfortable at this massive opening page phallus (and as such, barking up the wrong protuburence), or are others quietly aghast at being possibly perceived as slimy porno-crawlers sitting beside 11-yr old Thai kids playing Hide The Monkey video games while doing double-take sideward glances at the dirty old man in the next seat?

To reply to Smiles opening re,arks on the dildo ... I find it a horror when I open SGT at work. I mean I am not exactly a hard study and have been out since 15 but even I find the dildo a bit hard to disguise on my very large office computer. I have my back to everyone but they are all looking my way. It is a bit of a bust.

I have heard that the new Vista is not what is was expcted to be, I would imagine like 98 Vista will take a few revisons to get all the kinks out of the software. One reason I waited to get vista, not to mention the memory needed to run it.

Nope, you're not the only one. I understand the need for paid advertisers, but this one - especially right near the top of the page - is a bit much. I don't have a problem with visiting relatives seeing the changing video ads, but this one... well...

I also understand that Elephantspike has no place asking the advertiser to change their ad, but I would hope he'd leave the renewal for (ahem) some other forum that already features a lorry load of such material to pick up.

To put my money where my mouth is I just kicked in a donation. Maybe if a couple of others did more regularly 'spike would be a bit more selective :blackeye:

BTW, clicking on the blue bar with XP does make the ad minimize, but stillтАж

The dildo ad is paid until November 12. I offered the advertiser a discount to renew it for another year a few weeks ago, but haven't heard back yet, so it may be gone in a couple of weeks.

It works for me in Vista Business. It collapses the window with the dildo, clicking it again re-opens the window.

... and a simple click as topjon suggested and hey presto! ... gone!. Ever so grateful. I must confess that some of my best friends are dildos, so nothing against them per se, just the visual at work.

I use AppleMac with Firefox - no problem at all.

Odd, I have one computer running that OS and it works for me....actually, it works on all combinations of OS and browsers that I have......there are, of course, some odd things that happen when you're dealing with MS and IE.....but, that goes without saying really!
