Mao famously remarked "The East is Red". A long article on China's slowdown and its impact particularly on Australia is in today's Sydney Morning Herald - http://business.smh.com.au/business/the ... ntentSwap1 (http://business.smh.com.au/business/the-east-is-in-the-red-the-whiteknuckle-ride-begins-20081017-539p.html?page=fullpage#contentSwap1)

It's the oddest thing but whenever I click your posts Homiturd-it says I have you on ignore !. I don't ignore anyone ( although if I did -you would be the first) as I want to read what every nutter on here has to say as it convinces me I'm the only sane person in town , but it's either a glitch in the board or it's Wesley's Intelligent Designer trying to send me a message !

Apart from that I reckon China will just half the wages to twopence a day and sell all that junk for even cheaper and still keep going. This massive depression about to descend upon us is different-people have the spending bug and will go completely mad and blindly spend as usual..afterall, it's all on credit anyway so who cares..they won't be paying for it in the end.

What we must look forward to is the new Russian Century as Putin jails every oligach ( there must be about a million now) seizes their assets and as most Russians have never heard of a credit card they're all used to living within their means ..and surviving on one bottle of vodka per day.

Change your name to Ivan and all will be well.

And in China the competition will be even fiercer with the gender imbalance caused by their one child policy. X-Boys was totally dead the other night they had to cancel the show as not enough boys had turned up for work - fall in customers will translate into a fall in prices. Oh, I forgot -This Is Thailand, the law of supply and demand is suspended here

"...At Tangshan, the heart of China's steel industry, traders report that dozens of mills are going belly up and a third of blast furnaces have been shut down. "This is the beginning," says MySteel analyst Xu Xiangchun. 'So many steel companies have suddenly collapsed and more and more are running out of cash and will go the same way'.... "

And how long have I been saying on this board that the so called "Chinese Economic Miracle" is a bubble?

No, actually I LOVE to say "I told ya so". :geek: :geek: :geek: :geek:

If the Chinese people ever throw off their shackles and become a true Democratic society then is the time when the true economic miracle can take place.

And Watch Out World then.
