There is a closed end fund I watch that invests in Thai stocks with the SET as its benchmark. Its run by Morgan Stanley and the ticker is TTF
Today it got hammered and is down an eye popping 14.5% ! :cyclopsani:

The good news is its now trading at an 18% discount.

Anyone want to buy a baht for 82 satangs?

(Edited to correct appaling math errors :redfaced: )

Discounts of that order are quite common on closed ended funds in the UK in good times & bad.

The may be related to the fund management team creaming off a management fee of perhaps 1~1.5%, which reduces the yield on the assets to the extend where one needs a 10~20% discount to offset the management fee.
