a desperate missive arrives in my email box:

My name is Suha Arafat and I am the widow of Yasser Arafat ( for those who don't recall-I think Yassar was the drummer in the popular musical group The Beatles),I am currently being detained in Palestine and I have $20,000,000 in a secret account at the Bank of Palestine P.L.C which I cannot access due to my noteriety. If you can assist me in removing this money I will award you 10%-$2,000,000 to be paid direct into your bank account.

But first I need $25,000 to pay certain bank officials who will allow me to access the money and transfer the entire amount to your bank account after which you can keep your percentage and pass the balance onto me. I have chosen you because I trust you and..etc etc etc.

Who could ignore this desperate plea ?
Should I send the money and my account details as requested ( or perhaps Homintern's).

( for those who don't recall-I think Yassar was the drummer in the popular musical group The Beatles),I believe you have mistaken him for Ringo Crackafat, who later gave his name to two recent Popes - John Paul Ringo I and John Paul Ringo II
