Reading the breaking news on thai non stop flights to Auckland, this ad came up
www.oneworld.com/thailand (http://www.oneworld.com/thailand)

For those in Europe who might have interests in visiting another country it might be interesting

Interesting, but Thai Airways is not part of the One World group.

Interesting, but Thai Airways is not part of the One World group.

It is easy for you to go to oneworld.com and download what you want

colmx was planning a similar trip and these are the fares I downloaded

I think the 34,000 was good value for him These are only examples of what can be done

It fits in quite well as I suggested on his thread

Just as an added reference point a similar article from the Tribune media group ran in the San Francisco Chronicle this past Thursday. It's out of my league at this point, but who knows?

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.c ... 01&sc=1000 (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/08/21/DDU2129GC2.DTL&hw=around+the+world+fare&sn=001&sc=1000)

Although Thai isn't a part of One World it is a part of Star Alliance - this article is in USD:

"Star Alliance, the largest, includes Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana, Austrian, BMI, Egyptair, LOT, Lufthansa, SAS, Shanghai, Singapore, South African, Spanair, Swiss, TAP, Thai, Turkish, United and US Airways; Continental is planning to join. RTW pricing is based on total mileage; rates for 29,000 miles total miles of travel are $4,069 in economy and $7,880 in business; rates for 34,000 and 39,000 miles are comparable. You're allowed three to 15 stopovers within 10 days to a year. Some backtracking is OK within the mileage limit, but with restrictions."
