Pattaya electricity

Another forum brought this to my attention. Is there a certain rate per unit for electricity in Pattaya or does it depend on which section you live in. One condo I lived it charged "less" per unit than the second one I moved to. When I asked the why there was a price difference the manager said there was a tourist tax surcharge.

There is no tourist surcharge. The management just adds a surcharge to generate more profits.. I know this is true in the condos that I live in.
