Siam Thani

Just saw an ad in this month's Pattaya Trader:

Siam Thani Spa, for sale at 8 Million Baht. They were asking for 25m last year. Is this a bargan of the decade??

Stayed there some 3 years ago, for 4 nights. The concept was good, but I guess the operation was a failure. But then I wouldn't know.

Maybe they\'re trying to flog just the spa part for 8 million -- separate from the hotel part. Wouldn\'t be such a bargain, methinks.

It is not being operated as a gay sauna etc these days, and is probably in need of some major repair work. It was built by the same people and at the same time as Le Colonial, and you can ask the new owners what they found when they bought that - enough problems with the building to cause them to demolish it.

I gather the guy owning the website used to own (part) of the hotel, but following some sort of dispute has been locked out. Who is trying to sell the place?

Is Le Colonial that place on Road Two at Soi Yen Sabai, about five-or-six years old? I think there was a hotel (Or restaurant) on same plot before it...also knocked down--But needed a good knocking-down.
