They are exactly the same as the boys who are not in the army and unless they are actively serving, they grow their hair back
and resume life as from before the army.

From what I've heard, many are generally scrawny & malnourished. They don't feed the conscripts very well, only pay say 3000/month, and most have to rely on funds from the family to supplement their food. Heard a few stories now, where a young, healthy Thai guy goes off to the army, and within three months he's just a scrawny sack of skin & bones.

There's actually a soldier here almost everyday these days, and he looks pretty healthy. Kim's sister's boyfriend. I don't know, he must have volunteered to get a shorter term or something, because he's only 17 I think. Then again, if he's in the army, what the hell is he doing here everyday? Soldiers get school holidays too, or something? Who knows, who cares. TiT.

As for where to find army guys, no idea. I would imagine the military bases would be a good start though. If you want an army guy, goto the source! Find a hotel near a base up in Issan, figure out where their drinking hole is, and hang out there everyday hoping one of them will fuck you for 1000 baht.

Yeah, tell me about it. I should almost start charging a cover. "You want to come into my house? 100 baht!" I could probably make enough money to pay the food & whiskey bill with that. :-) Kim's little brother can be the door man, lol. Oh well, it's actually good right now, because we have the kids. Kim's gone working all day, I'm upstairs working all day, so at least there's people downstairs looking after them. I just throw them a 45 baht bottle of lao khaao every once in a while, and they're more than happy with that.

I just wish they knew had to be a bit cleaner. I've given up on even trying to keep a clean house though, as it's pointless. I've tried, failed, and don't bother anymore. I have to tip toe around my own kitchen these days. You know, just the basic things would be nice. When you crack a few eggs, don't just throw the shells on the counter. See that big garbage bin that's about one foot away from you? Put them in there, that's what it's there for! Oh right, I forgot, trying to get them to do things like that would be "controlling" them.

Poor cleaning lady -- I give her an extra 50% these days, because I feel bad for her having to clean up this pig sty. Oh well, fuck it, my little home office is quite clean so I'm happy. :)

Yeah, that's always the last resort. In my office, I've given up on the area where my guys sit with papers and shit left everywhere... Fuck it, I'm happy as long as all the meeting rooms and my own office room can be squeaky clean.
