Progress of "Dan the Man"

True to everything he had told me, Dan rushed off to apply at a public college and was turned down!

Disappointment did not last long, since he applied to a private college and was accepted!

He fully intends to transfer from the private collage to Rachapat next year.

But talk about a go-getter! My guess is that he came to My Way just a few weeks ago, seeking college funds -- and now he is in college!

His main reaction is: "Tons of Homework!!"

Congrats to Khun Dan. Always great to see a young thai man want to better himself, especially
when probably nobody else in the family finished high school Chok dee to him (and you).

I think he's exhilarated and really enjoying the whole experience. He really is a very friendly and outgoing guy: just today (Day 2!) he called to tell me that he already had found a new friend! :-)

But...tons of homework, completely new environment, up at 6:30, in school by 8, school uniform, school shoes -- well, you can probably imagine.

That would apply to a boarding-school situation, would it not? Dan's not in a boarding school. In fact, Dan is not a fantasy, or some sort of gay joke.
