I see several farangs in Pattaya with dogs (4 legged kind) I wondered if owning a dog can be a substitute for loving a a Thai boy. I find my frequent falling in love with boys here is expensive and short lived. However a dog can have my love and I will rent a thai boy for sex. What breed of dog should I buy?

get yourself a pussy-less trouble and not too disimilar in their actions and attitudes to Thai lads.
I have seen reports that single Old Age Pensioners (who make up the majority of the ex-pat population of Pattaya, so I gather) live longer if they have a pet than otherwise. That undoubtedly explains the succession of budgies that Hedda has had over the years, the most famous of which was Monica - http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/fo ... .php?e=283 (http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/weblog_entry.php?e=283)

Not unless you can teach it to suck cock.

At least a dog swallows, rather than spits (so, of course, I merely understand...)
Your Thai boy doesn't swallow? That is unacceptable.

Not only does he not swallow, but he seems strangely averse to existing on a can of food plus a few broken biscuits - washed down with a bowl of water - and then being taken out for a walk on his lead.
And don't get me started about the fuss he makes when it's time for his worming!

I think there were many Monicas-from what I heard Hedda used to bite their heads off for breakfast.
It could explain though, that incessant twittering he goes on with in that mad blog of his.
I have always preferred cats and this video of Doris o Booze (in her younger days) seems indicate she is a cat person.

acceptable substitute ?
Thais see dogs as people who may have misbehaved in a past life.
A bit of a put down on Thai guys and the nation. Really, is this a good analogy?

TYPO!! Shirley you meant " ... Really, is this a good analdoggy? ... "
Cheers ...
That is a very broad insult and shows a serious lack of intelligence. No doubt I'm feeding a troll....
How can you compare a Thai guy with an animal dog???

A dog is a good idea... if you're old and often alone in a foreign land. Pets generally increase lifespan...
Whenever I walk my dog, I always meet people that want to know what she is....she is unusual for here,a Whippet, striped like a tiger. Can break the ice much more easily. Not a substitute but an attribute. She can't replace my boyfriend!!
As a middle aged overweight farang: she is helping me to get back into a better shape. Blood pressure down, weightloss...enjoyment.

This thread is for the dogs!
Lets add a "dogs" category to the anual yuk-yuk awards this year, shall we?

Having six Golden Retrievers is sometimes a surprising boy magnet, although I can't claim any direct pickups! :-) What has been surprising is to see the reaction of various people to six ultra-friendly golden doggies: my farang-in-the-closet friend was revolted ("Doggy Drool!") while some of the Thai guys love my doggies more than they do me <snif>. But people all of nationalities stop by and want to take just one or two, and brave Win the doggie-wrangler knows enough English to say "No, No!"
Hmm, I doubt there are many Golden Retrievers on this planet who can speak English, Thai, and Karen -- but mine can! :-)
