Has anyone stayed at the Poppa Palace in Patong Beach , Phuket? Is it good?

The last time I was in Patong I stayed at K.N. Guesthouse. The rooms are huge the breakfast okay and the pool fantastic, It is quite reasonable and Nid the Chinese woman who runs it is lovely provided you don't give her a hard time.

I had an enjoyable week. It is just off the main road and up from the Paradise complex (about 5 mins walk). Before that I stayed at huge hotels around Patong. Never again. This is much more intimate.

At last someone else who shares my enthusiasm for this place. Big rooms, absolutely huge bath rooms, swimming pool and all for a price that's comparable to a tiny room in a gay guesthouse within the Paradise Complex. Whenever I've stayed there at least 1 in 3 of the guests were gay.

My Thai friend, Oh usually negotiates a better room rate. (She offered him a secret commission the first time we stayed there).
