LOOKING for a hotel in Khon Kaen

Hello !
Does anyone know any hotel(S) in KHON KAEN not too far from GAY BEACH SAUNA ?

I think the sauna is a bit away from the main hotels as I recall. (I did not visit it.) Khon Kaen has an excellent color coded baht bus system which can get you to most areas for 8 baht. They go on different circular routes so it is very easy to use. I think it would be more enjoyable to stay close to the bus station, malls, and lake. I stayed at Khon Kaen Hotel for 650 baht. There are two hotels together - the cheaper one was too basic for me. Please see my posting on this trip:

Stayed at the Kosa a few years back. Decent 3 star but nothing special. Ate at the Charoen Thani Princess down the road, which seemed nicer. But the Sofitel gets good reports as one of the better 5 star hotel bargains you'll find anywhere.

I wouldn't use the criterion of being close to The Beach as the basis for choosing a hotel. I went to The Beach once, and am in no hurry to return. There were very few customers, and it was pretty shabby. I would stay in the centre of town from where there are lots of fun venues within walking distance. As per most live music/dancing places in Thailand, they are mixed gay/straight.

The Charoen Thani Princess Hotel KK is a decent hotel. Zolid Pub (same premisses) is popular with local gay crowd and always good for Thai style cruising.

Walk from there maybe three hundred meters into opposite Soi towards Seven's Corner and turn left at the corner. Another maybe 100 m and you will see at your left hand side gay Delphin Sauna. For map: http://www.khonkaen.com/english/nightlife/sevenscorner/

The Beach Khon Kaen is pretty basic. Do not expect too much of service. The crowd there is horny and usually doing it everywhere, even on roof garden. Do not trust website details too much. For more details: http://www.thebeach-g-thailand.com/khonkaen/index.html

Both Sauna establisments are usually not busy. Just cruise the city and find someone handsome horny student.

Have a look at Khosa Shopping which is about 5 min walk from Charoen Princess; maybe around the toilets near bowling. Take your time, and someone will find you, looking for company. ...

After 17 h is the lake the place to be. just find a nice spot and grin and anybody handsome. The is the ultimate cruising spot (not the fitness). The Beach Sauna isn't fare from there and maybe the place to go to if you don't want go back to your hotel too quickly.

There are several other spots. Find them out by yourself.

As for KK, we stayed in PP hotel last Jan, think it was only 400B for the night, quite close to the Tuk.com complex, Sofitel and Charoen Thani Princess...

We saw very few PLUs the night we went to Zolid, but found loads of them in our hotel when we got back... we were even invited to a room party by a gang of gay boys, but for some reason declined! :drunken: :drunken:

One thing we noticed about KK was that the age profile of the average farang in the discos there is WAY younger then BKK/Pattaya... most farang I saw there were in their 20's....

Have been a few times this year and stayed at Charoen Thani Princess which is excellent value for around 1300 B incuding breakfast. Rooms are clean and the gym has a very large jacuzzi where you can have some fun.

Chareonchit House Serviced Apartements

Very good alternative accommodation. Excellent, clean, budget guesthouse. Indeed gay friendly. No problems with joiners.

Chareonchit House provides two differently furnished types of rooms. Prices are around 450 to 550 TBT per night or 4000 TBT up per month. Have a look before you take a key.

Chareonchit House is somewhat hidden behind a large temple (with many handsome novices who are playing any kind of naughty Internet at the parlours closeby) within easy walking distance to (cruisy fairy market
which is also a famous food market during evenings). The house is also close to the lake and not far to The Beach Khon Kaen Sauna.
