Having advertised on here again, and as per last time in aid of The Mercy Centre, it would be courteous to let us know later how much they actually raise.

Forgive my ignorance but who is Jeff Vernon?

Happy Birthday Michael!!

It's your 39th (again). Right?
I won't be there to help you celebrate, but I'll think about you and all the handsome Boys.
See you in October!!!

Jeff Vernon?

Ok, thanks. I don't think he's very well known outside of the UK.
In fact, after reading your reply, I googled "Jeff Vernon UK's top variety performers."
Nothing. So then I googled: "Jeff Vernon England performer". Still nothing.

Oh well, Jeff doesn't know me either.....

He's not very well known INSIDE the UK either! Never heard of him!

Oh, now I get it. Jeff is Norman's brother. That clears it all up!

(googled Norman Vernon and all I get is something about a family of Texas fiddler champions.......hehe)

P.S. Any chance he was named after the famous sex escapade called Mount Vernon???

Be very grateful it isn't Miss Marsha Vernon singing and maybe, just once, we will be spared from the sight of another hideous obese
farang in a blond wig and a dress. Older Brits are obsessed with crossing dressing old men and find them endlessly amusing and entertaining.

If I never see another Dolly sister or Marsha again, it will be too soon.. Exception to this is when the he/she can actually carry a tune and sing.
I have forgotten the drag name of one Brit who performed at a benefit at Cafe Royal a while back and that man was a performer and could
work the room and actually sing up a storm.. :cat:

Norman (left) and Geoff (right) The Vernon Brothers

Shirley you recognize them now?

June 10th, 2008, 19:54
While not pretending to be an expert and know everybody, I must say that - after 40 years in the entertainment business - I not only do not recognise them nor have I heard of them.

I have known Norman for many years, he was an MC at dinner functions, and very funny to. Geoff, has a great voice, and a heart of gold.
If you have never heard or seen them, you have lost out. The charity work Norman has done, couldn't be written in post. They are both lovely gentlemen.
I for one am looking forward to seeing them both in the next few days.
Both do Charity work in Boyz town, and Sunee, Mainly LeCage. If having a laugh, and being laughed at is not your scene, your missing nothing. But the work Norman has done puts most peoples work for charity puts him in Buddha's good char-ma.

See you soon Gents.

Thanks for sharing :flower:

For those of us who were not there (and from reading your write up on gaytingtong.com) can you explain what went on during the 'prick contest' and how did you get to win 3 prizes in it?
