"the No1 and the No8 will not love you back if you don't have Satang! "

I think you will find that's common around the world now except you will need ten times the Satang !

The biggest challenge for me was limiting the list to only ten things.

In no particular order:

1) The overall warmth and good humor of the Thai people

2) The dramatic and torrential (but often thankfully short) rounds of rain

3) The adventure of immersing myself - camera in hand - in a colorful, unexplored neighborhood

4) Wandering around Chatuchak Market (before noon!)

5) An unhurried evening watching the guys in a club while sipping cool drinks

6) Most any wat in the cool serenity of an early morning

7) Sunset walks in the Isaan countryside

8) Sharing a laugh over cultural or language differences with a Thai friend

9) Savoring well prepared new Thai dishes at a relaxed dinner out with friends

10) Waking up the first morning, looking out the window and knowing IтАЩm back in Thailand

1. I still fell at home when arriving 2 times a year.

2. The fun suddenly to meet an ex. sexlover, which I had problems with many years ago, now we have a lot of fun and laughs.

3. the food also from steetvendors.

4 overall the friends I meet, again and again

5. the easy way thai people socialise and speak together.

6 the laied back attitude.

7. you think to much :-)

8. how my friend have met new thai friends during my last visit. And me too.

9. phonecall from ex bf. who called me, the day I returned from Thailand, we finished last year, his words was, "why u not call when u in Thailand." I said "well I was not visiting where you are living, how you know?" respond was "well this is Thailand". From Chiang Mai to the south, everyone know what I am doing.

10. the words to by bf about me in Chiang Mai: yes he is not beautiful but attractive.

11. my new bf, oh well I know, I have to take care, he is not big educated, but very clever, and speak good english too, gay, not working in a bar, hate Silom soi 4. Moneyboy? Maybe, . I have known him for 2 years, but stopped the contact last year. In this 2 years he never asked for money, no dead mother or buffulo. Now we are together again.

There are many thinks I don't like about Thailand, maybe it is not "I don't like" but "i don't understand"

I could continue with 12 to 30.

Cheers

Obviously all the above posters, with the exception of John Botting, still need to take their rose colored glasses of. As for the young behaving, do you mean a boy who sells himself in Sunee Plaza is "behaving" himself? Or do you confuse the emptyminded "up to you" attitude with good behaviour?

I wish I could leave but I'm stuck. I have a partner and a life that I can't just throw away.
