Has anyone ever used http://bangkok-hotelguide.com?

They have comparable rates for Sofitel Silom as asiarooms.com, but take Amex when Asiarooms does notтАж

Hope to read any comments on http://bangkok-hotelguide.com...

Thanks.

Hi there. thanks for your reply. I am travelling in March. Around 18 to 26 March.

My main concern is the reliability of the site, coz I seldom go through such sites...

Kind of concerned my credit card would be debitted and my boking not honoured by the hotel....

Not looking for THE cheapest offer but the best balance between good rate and good service / reliabilityтАж

Would rather pay a bit more with Amex rather than a bit less with troubleтАж

Hence my question if someone has experience with http://bangkok-hotelguide.com.

I have heard that this particular booking agency was very popular back in the late 1990's, early 2000's until they lost a few thousand customers because of their insistent & shameless flogging of a hotel in Pattaya called the Siam Thani.
This hotel in fact turned out to be a visitor's nightmare, and the agency's credibility went straight downhill after the publicity got out.

It's never recovered.

Cheers ... :albino:

This happened to me with a major agent that continues to advertise extensively in the UK and has been frequently cited by a poster here for their cheap rates. It took me two months to get my credit card re-imbursed and a lot of hassle. They'd clearly outsourced all their operations to Bangalore abd I was being bounced from 'phone extension to extension till I told the credit card company I was about to go to court.

It is a reasonable fear.

Today I checked Pinnacles Prices on an agency I have previously got good deals from formerly recommended by Thaiguy. Well I was astonished they seem to want a lot more than is quoted elsewhere. Seems you just gotta "clicktraipse" those agencies.

Thank you NorthStar.

In the case of http://bangkok-hotelguide.com their rate at the Sofitel is comparable with what I could find on Asiarooms.com.

My concern is whether they are reliable or notтАж

Any one used their services and can comment?
