Something is very wrong.
"...The numbers involved are very small, and crucially, there has never been a placebo-controlled study...."

The Doctor pushing the study is a dermatologist. He runs a private company that styles itself "Institute for Neurological Research". The drug he's pushing he has also pushed for treating back pain, neck pain, pain due to bone cancer and SARS. His publication list is underwhelming to say the least.

Well you could have said the same thing about Einstein and Darwin before they published their paradigm shifting work as well! Most scientific publications are pointless bullshit.

But you are right. This needs to be tested with proper clinical trials to establish safety and efficacy before any substantive claims are made.

Yeh, but Einstein really only got the one thing right didn't he, and a lorra, lorra decent folk in the Deep South are dubious about Darwin.

I got a rather hysterical email from Aunty recently claiming that all that amoeba-dissecting (remember: Aunty's brain feels comfortable in the presence of other single-cell organisms) had lead to a cure for dandruff. I suspect all that thinking too much about the cost of living for retirees in Pattaya http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/fo ... 08-45.html (http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/what-is-the-poverty-line-for-gay-farang-living-in-pattaya-t14108-45.html) had caused a breakdown - that and failing to take the medication yet again
